Although I am not an architect, I do believe that as a designer it is possible to develop ideas about architecture, or at least develop objects that approach an architectural scale. After all, we let architects design objects, why shouldn’t it work the other way around.
The two projects I am showing here were both competition entries, one of which we won: The Thames Water Barometer…which was built and completed in 1995. The other project: Boxygen remains a concept but is also about being able to keep track of changing weather whilst in an environment which suppresses this: the underground transit systems.
